Looking for love
Small Male Maltese x West Highland White Terrier
- Rescue group:
- Denise At Paws
- PetRescue ID:
- New South Wales
Joe is a Westie x Maltese, and boy doesn’t he know it! He’s cute as a button, but given half a chance he’ll let you know what he thinks and try to bend your will!
Joe is super affectionate. He loves cuddles and time on the couch with his significant humans.
Joe also loves his walks and time at the park. He’s really friendly to everyone he meets, but he can get over excited and frustrated when on lead – particularly when meeting other dogs. When off lead he needs a little work on his introduction skills as sometimes he can be a bit pushy – but he’s working hard on getting better and will only move leaps and bounds in the right direction with a training and help from his new owner.
This little man has a lot of personality – he is an absolute delight and will benefit from continued training and discipline to bring out his best. He would be great as an only pet, and equally would enjoy a home with another dog. He is great with older kids, so a home with older children would also suit.
Joe is toilet trained and currently sleeps in a crate inside at night. Joe has a soft coat that will require regular brushing and an occasional trim to keep him looking clean and tidy.
Joe comes desexed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, heartworm tested and he has had a dental. The adoption fee is $495. Joe is not available for adoption outside of NSW (Except ACT). If you would like further information on Joe, please email Denise
If you are interested in adopting one of our rescue dogs please email and tell us all about your family, other pets, lifestyle, accommodation and anything else relevant to your enquiry, this information helps us to know if the dog you are enquiring about will suit your family. As all of our rescue dogs are in foster care in private homes we know what our dogs want and need to keep them happy when they are adopted by their new family. Home visits are done to check fencing, meet family members and other animals in the home. Once the home check is complete you are welcome to visit the dog in his foster home and all going well the dog will go on a two week trial with your family. We are always happy to extend the trial period if necessary. If for any reason at any time the adoption fails please contact us immediately, we will always take our dogs back into care
