About Monti Dingo
Hi I’m Monti and despite the grey around my nose I’m still a big goofy puppy at heart. I’m cheeky and affectionate, and I love love love people. If you’re looking for a companion dog that wants to be your best pal, that’s me! With a bit of training, I could even come to work with you since I love adventures and meeting people.
My favorite things are long walks and runs, I'm a very energetic boy and would be a great dingo for an active family with older kids. I love to play tug-of-war and squeaky toys are another favorite of mine.
I am good with other medium and large breed dogs after slow introductions, and I currently share an enclosure at the shelter with a desexed female dingo called Merindah.
I might not be suitable to live with kids under 5, because I am very boisterous and energetic. I do love people though and with proper supervision and an enclosure or large yard I would love to a part of a family with kids or teenagers.
I cannot live with cats, birds or pocket pets unless they can be kept separately.
I am still learning to walk on lead and sometimes I pull when I'm excited, but I am very treat motivated and eager to please and my new family will have no trouble continuing my training provided they have lots of patience and love to give. I already know how to sit!
I am a high content dingo, and require a minimum of 2m fencing OR a fully enclosed dog enclosure. Ask my rescuers for help with fencing if you need! I'm worth the extra work of extending your fences I promise!
