Have you ever wanted to tame a lion? Well here’s your chance. Just kidding, I’m Rhea and I like to pretend that I am a bit of a beast. I’m not really, I enjoy pats and love to roll around and soak up some attention. I’m super confident but only when it comes to things I know. Things I don’t know, just forget about it, I’ll be under the bed.
So what’s the deal with my foster to adopt status? My current foster carer has tamed the wild out of me and I am a happy healthy cat, she thinks I’m about ready for a new home but she knows that I am going to take a long while to settle in to any new home. I was born on the streets you see and landed myself in some pretty rough times. I was a hissing ball of fur and this lady took me in and loved me no matter what. I took a long time to accept that it was all going to be ok. Now I proudly and confidently strut around the house. So what does foster to adopt mean? It means I get to come stay with you and check out what you have to offer at your house and if you just can’t let me go then you get to adopt me. We think it’s about time that I get out and experience the world a bit more and find a place to call my forever home. Fostering is an amazing experience where you get to save kitties from very bad situations and to be honest I love it because I’ve got to meet plenty of different cats.
So who am I beneath the tough exterior? I am a very sweet and gentle girl who loves to play. I roll around and chirp and love to chase. I love other cats and I could spend hours grooming and playing. I still have some of my sisters here too so if you’re looking to save two kitties I would love to spend my life with one of my sisters. I’m also great with dogs and will play with the resident pouch here.
I have had kids around my whole life but I would prefer older kids as I am still jumpy at loud noises (like I said anything new and I am gone). I do like to hide when strangers come over and if something is out of the ordinary I spend my time in my safe spot that my foster mum set up for me. Working and loving a cat like me sometimes isn’t easy but Cheltenham Cat Rescue will support you the whole way through my journey into settling in. We have plenty of advise and plenty of loving people ready to help you settle me in and turn me in to the most amazing cat for you.
Once I am settled I will happily stroll along the counter ready to steal scraps of food, or even better get into the food bowls faster than everyone else. I love to have cat trees to climb and I’m still a sucker for toys. I’m really playful kitty and I deserve a forever home, no matter if I’m shy or not. So if you are ready to work for my love I’m ready to let you earn it.
