About Piper
Introducing Piper, our bright and bubbly Alaskan Malamute girl who loves to alternate between zoomies around the yard and getting cuddles from her favourite people. Piper is a tall and lean girl with a toffee caramel coat and sparkly, attentive dark eyes. If there is adventure to be had then this curious lass loves to join in.
Piper will thrive in a home with an experienced arctic breed family who will spend time with her basic training, setting up a routine and showing her the ropes of family life. Being an energetic and curious temperament she will need to be included in day-to-day family life and would love the challenge of advanced training and activities that will mentally stimulate her. She loves playing with balls and soft toys - she'll catch them if you throw them or just zip around the yard playing on her own with them.
Piper enjoys meeting new human friends - she loves both men and women, yet she is particularly responsive to fair leadership from men who are both affectionate and firm with her. She enjoys reward based training once she's away from other highly stimulating distractions (like little dogs barking at her). Piper is still a cheeky, distracted teenager who needs to learn to focus - with time and commitment to training her new family will be rewarded with a loyal and loving well-rounded adult.
Piper can be a little selective with doggie companions - she will do best with another friendly, amicable male arctic breed or as a single dog where she can be the centre of training attention. Like most malamutes, she requires a home with tall, solid fencing and one without cats, pocket pets or small dogs.
If you are looking to adopt a bright female Mallie and are willing to commit to setting up a solid training base, then Piper will reward you with being an affectionate and sweet companion for life. Please contact us to find out more about our pretty Piper.
