Major spent a few months being cared for at a veterinary clinic, after his owner surrendered him when she could not longer care for him due to health. He was much adored by staff, but was kinda over being a clinic pooch and spending nights alone, so made his way to Perth into our care.
This gentleman is an affectionate chap, who enjoys the company of people and is partial to belly rubs. He is a bit of a smoocher who loves to kiss and get pats. Major would suit a family with school aged kids, couple or single, who will give him a life where he receives cuddles and walks. He is currently living with older children and looks forward to hanging out with them when they get home from school. Major also enjoys playing with the ball, tug of war, splashing in water and soaking up the sun.
He would like a home where someone is home more often than not, though he will cope with people who do short shifts. Major is very smart, well behaved, knows basic commands and is excellent in the car. He is still active and is fit as a fiddle, so a home where he gets out for short walks, would be perfect.
Although he can form friendships with dogs over time, at this stage in his life Major would be happy to fly solo in his new digs. Otherwise he can go with a calm older medium sized female dog. Major is not a fan of kitties or small animals sadly, so will need a home without any small furry or feathered friends.
This sweet older boy came from an adoring home and ended up in rescue due to sad circumstances. We would like to grant his owner her last wish and find him an equally loving home to spend his remaining years. If you can't resist his huge smile, and can imagine this handsome, friendly, middle aged chap joining you on the couch, please get in touch to have a chat.
*****My adoption fee has been reduced to help me find my forever home*****
Please phone us for an over the phone interview during business hours.
If we feel your lifestyle is a good match, we will ask you and any family members who regularly stay in your home to attend a meet with the dog, to see if the dog is the right fit for your family and vise versa.
Once the meet and greet is completed, we will arrange a check of your home and boundary fences, to ensure they will adequately contain the dog you are interested in.
After that the dog will be dropped to your home by the carer, our adoption form will be completed, payment of adoption fee taken and you will be given a trial period to allow the dog to settle in comfortably.
If the trial period is successful, all paperwork will be sent to you and you now are the lucky owners of a rescued canine.
