About Nanook
Introducing Nanook - a friendly and chillaxed 7.5 year old Siberian Husky. Nanook is a calm and low maintenance chap who enjoys his own company at times and thrives on companionship at other times.
Nanook likes spending time with fluffy big dogs like himself. He is prejudice against many short haired dogs - he isn't a fan of them at all! So if you already have a friendly arctic pooch or are looking to adopt a solo dog then Nanook might suit you. As with most of our arctics we recommend a home without small dogs, cats or pocket pets and he'll require solid, husky proof fencing. He may suit a single person, a couple or a family with older kids who will spend time with him and include him in their daily lives.
Nanook can be a little aloof meeting new people at first - but once he knows you this unassuming boy loves a good chest rub and ear scratch. He likes to look very serious but then he leans on you and breaks out in an irresistible grin as he asks for pats. He is a loyal and loving boy who just likes you to win him over first.
Nanook enjoys treats and will cheekily jump up and chat to you if he thinks you are taking too long to hand out his reward. He takes treats from your hand like a gentleman if you say 'gentle'. He enjoys a good back scratch on the grass so he'd love a yard with some lawn to roll around on. He's not a high energy boy so he doesn't have huge expectations in regards to exercise - a daily walk and being involved in family activities would keep this gorgeous boy smiling.
If you are looking for an unassuming, easy going companion for your family then sweet Nanook would love to be your new man.
