About Teddy
TEDDY IS NOT AVAILABLE FOR INTERSTATE ADOPTION
IF YOU FIT THE CRITERIA FOR TEDDY PLEASE EMAIL ME FIRST, (DO NOT CALL) WITH A RUN DOWN OF YOUR LIFESTYLE, ACTIVITY LEVELS, ANYTHING THAT GIVES ME AN IDEA OF THE TYPE OF LIFE I CAN EXPECT FOR TEDDY FOR THE NEXT 10 + YEARS.
Teddy is a Silkie mix boy approx. 6 years old, this boy is to die for, he is good with other dogs but would be best as an only dog, he needs a special home as he has specific needs
Teddy Bear is great in the house, he sleeps through the night is good in every other way.
The IDEAL and SPECIAL home for Teddy Bear is as an only dog, he needs his owner to be retired, female, active so he can get out and about on walks, only one person in the home, the person needs to have very few visitors so Teddy can feel safe, he is fine meeting people is very friendly and loving. Teddy cannot be in a home nor around males as he was abused by a male in his previous home. Teddy is not for the elderly or anyone on a walker or walking stick as he will trip them up.
Another important criterion for Teddy is with someone who knows animal behaviour and how to read signs that dogs give out and has experience in dealing with unpredictable behaviour in animals. Teddy Bear needs a home where he can come and go through a dog door during the day, he needs to be a companion for his new owner, so he can get out and about and he needs to be loved and cared for.
Despite Teddy needing a "special" home he is affectionate and will be a great companion to that "special" person.
Adoption details
To enquire about a dog in foster care please email the foster carer in the first instance (using the contact details listed with the dog's description).
The foster carer needs to know about you, your family, and any other pets, about your lifestyle and accommodation, and about the type of dog you want, so that they can help work out if the dog you have selected is right for you.
For dogs, foster carers will also carry out a 'home check' where we look at fencing and shelter for the dog to make sure they are adequate, and advise on anything that needs to be done to make sure your dog will be safe and comfortable.
