About Dee
Introducing Dee - a Dee-lightful 6 and a half year old Alaskan Malamute who loves making new friends with people and who is a pleasure to spend time with.
Dee is dainty girl who has a beautiful temperament and is a great mix of playfulness and relaxed. She is energetic and excited at first but she calms nicely once she's released her initial excitement.
Dee loves to play ball - she will fetch it and bring it back to you and then hide the ball under her paw in her cheeky version of fetch. She can clumsily fall over when chasing the ball and will then continue like no one was watching.
Dee will sit and give you an excited paw shake so that you throw the ball or offer her a treat . She responds well to positive rewards so her new family will find advanced training with her enjoyable. She loves chew toys and will keep herself happily entertained with them.
Dee would love a daily walk, she gets excited when she sees the lead so she knows walks are fun. She would be great in a home with older children and as with most arctic breeds we would recommend a home without cats or pocket pets.
Dee would best suit a single dog home as she can be selective with the other dogs she is in care with. She prefers male canines with a positive introduction however she would thrive as a single dog as she's more of a people-dog anyway - she is attentive to her humans and loves their affection.
Dee loves to be where you are - she patiently stands or lays at your feet (or on your feet as a foot-warmer). When you pat her head she turns into mush with love for you. She loves to flip onto her back to ask you for a belly rub - and just incase you forget she's there she'll tap you with her paws as a gentle reminder!
If you are looking to adopt a people-focused, absolute sweetheart into your family then look no further than our Dee-lightful Dee!
