Puppy Fun times ahead with your new buddy Nigel!
This absolute gorgeous young lad is so excited to be getting his forever home! He is your typical puppy who loves to have adventures and get up to mischief and he is still learning the intricacies of toilet training and leash skills. Nigel is soooo smart and so eager to please, that he picks things up very quickly, he just needs a wonderful new home to show him the way!
Nigel is currently in foster care with a lovely large staffy who he adores and a cranky Jack Russel who he also adores (even though the feeling isn't mutual), but as he is just a young pup his social skills aren't finely tuned so doesn't quite understand when other dogs don't want to play constantly. If you have another dog, they must be puppy proof and used to having other dogs on their turf as pups have a way of claiming everything in a household, regardless of how an existing dog may feel about that. Nigel will not go to a home with elderly dogs, as it simply would not be fair on either of them. Little Nige has always lived with another dog and it would be great if he could have another young female dog to play with in his new home
Nigel adores kids, and people in general, but he is used to older kids, young babies and toddlers would be very exciting for little Nige, so probably not the best combination as his need to love and kiss and jump and play might be a little overwhelming for tiny humans.
Nigel has not lived with cats or pocket pets, he is young enough to learn respect and boundaries but we have done no testing with them.
Nigel is a puppy. With puppies comes great responsibility. You will be entrusted with a blank canvas who only knows how to love and look at you for guidance. If you are not prepared to have things chewed, peed on, played with and not prepared to puppy proof your home, don't bother applying. Nigel must go to a home dedicated to training, you must be prepared to enrol him in puppy school so he can safely socialise with other youngsters and so everyone in the home learns to speak the same language.
We have listed Nigel as a Staffy x, and we know he does have a bit of Staffordshire in him, but we also believe he has a bit of kelpie thrown into the mix as well. We can not guarantee what his breed make up is, but we do know he is so incredibly smart and sweet and will be a medium to large size dog. When Nigel grows up he will need daily excercise to suit both his staffy and kelpie sides. Both breeds if left alone with no entertainment and physical and mental excercise will become bored and upset. Nigel is ridiculously cute, he gets stopped wherever he goes by people commenting on his devine looks, but please remember cute little pups grow up so please think of his future adult needs as well as all the amazing puppy cuddles you will have (and you will have sooo many cuddles! and kisses!)
Nigel is loving life in foster care and loves having people around a lot. He sleeps inside and is very much a house dog who loves interacting with his foster family on any occasion.
