About Indi
Hi there! My name is Indi. Can I shake paws with you or give you a little kiss? When we get to know each other more I’d love to snuggle on the couch or even stand up on my hind legs and slow dance together!
Indi is a very affectionate Bull Arab cross girl who will light up your day with her infectious smile and loving nature. She would enjoy being an only dog so she can smother all of her love on her humans. She would be also happy with a well-matched doggie playmate - she is a modern woman who needs a partner who knows his place and that she ‘wears the pants’!
She loves to play fetch and chase with her humans and fur foster brother. She also enjoys chasing birds out of the yard, making her a great vegie patch guard. Since she likes a good game of chase, Indi would be suited to a home with no small pets like cats…cats don’t like that game so much!
If Indi were a human she would definitely be a foodie. When it comes to food, Indi will do anything her humans say to get even a tiny treat, and would never dream of wasting one morsel of her dinner! This means she is super easy to reward train. She can ‘sit’, ‘stay’, ‘drop’, ‘shake’ (she says ‘please’ with her left paw and ‘thank you’ with her right before dinner), ‘wait’ (until she is asked to eat), jump ‘up’ on command (onto the deck, into the car etc), fetch and dance. She loves to make her people happy and would love to learn more tricks.
Indi currently lives with lots of little people from 18 months of age, but at around 30kg she would be best suited to a family with older children. She loves kids though and is very gentle and patient with her foster family’s children. The little girls she lives with love to play dress up, so Indi is often dressed up as well. Most recently she was the Easter Bunny, and a very cute one! She would make a great best friend for a child or teen who might like to throw a ball with her, teach her new tricks and maybe take the odd selfie together (Indi loves the camera!). She would also be an awesome fur baby for those without kids. Imagine coming home to that smiling face every day, hanging out on the couch or in the garden together.
Indi has outgrown all those pesky puppy traits, and has a medium energy level. She benefits from a nice long walk or a half hour of vigorous play each day, but aside from this, is happy to relax the day away. She sleeps on the verandah at her foster home and would happily be an inside or outside dog…as long as she is out of the weather and has a comfy place to sleep, she is set.
Indi is pretty much ‘bombproof’ – she is unfazed by storms, loud noises, people passing by, dogs barking, vehicles of any sort, baths, the postie, riding in the car, swimming, the list could go on but you get the picture – she is definitely not a ‘high maintenance girl’. She would be a quiet and relaxed dog in her dream backyard, one with a Colorbond or paling fence or acreage where she can’t regularly see other dogs.
Indi can be quite excitable when she sees another dog so she is working on reacting in a more calm and ladylike manner. She has shown no inclination to jump over her foster family’s fence so a 5 foot high fence should be sufficient to keep her safe at home.
If you think you’d benefit from some Indi love, please contact Precious Paws. Indi is just waiting to add some joy to your life and find her happily ever after!
