About Hunter
Meet Hunter - a playful 5.5 year old Husky boy. Hunter is full to the brim with character - he is a curious (and sometimes ditzy!) fellow with warm chocolate eyes that watch what you are up to in anticipation of a game or treat. Hunter is a beautiful looking boy with black tips in his fluffy coat.
Hunter is still very much a puppy in temperament - he is friendly and cheeky. He would love a home with a family who is experienced with arctic breeds. Like a pup he will still mouth when he's playing so he needs confident and fair leadership in his daily routine and training. He has basic manners, he will sit or drop for reward and is keen to please you - his chocolate eyes looking to you for direction even when he's wriggling in play mode!
Hunter is friendly when meeting new people - he bunny hops a little when walking on lead but isn't too strong and calms down after his initial excitement is over. He does zoomies in the yard - he'll sprint like a racehorse for a few short laps and then come over to see what you're up to. He could be trained to be a fun jogging partner and he loves being in the car (he could lay in the back seat for hours!)
Hunter loves human companionship - he likes being where you are and thinks he's a small lapdog . He'll lean on you and lay at your feet for pats . If you stop patting him he'll remind you he's there and to keep those pats coming please! He would best suit a home without young children due to his current mouthing and bubbly and excitable nature.
Hunter has been in care with a few dogs and enjoys spending time with friendly, playful (non-dominant) males. We feel he would respond best to a home where he has another medium sized doggy pal to play with and learn from.
Hunter is an affectionate and playful boy who will repay you with puppy cuddles and a whole lot of laughs if you are looking for a fun new family member.
