About Dotty
Lovely white and black Dotty certainly lives up to her name with a distinct black dot just above her tail.
Dotty is a very gentle girl who thrives in a peaceful environment. She is very loyal and loving and particularly loves her cuddles. She is an obedient dog once she understands the rules and routines. She has been a fussy eater in the past but once she feels safe, secure and loved she has no problem with appetite or any particular foods.( not very keen on sardines) She walks well on the lead but tends to get a little excited if small dogs bark at her, or if she sees a ute or trailer. These traits are easily controlled by being aware of them and just calming her with a soothing voice and a short lead makes her feel more secure. This is all fear based and not aggression I am sure.
She adores being brushed. She would be well suited to a quiet household that doesn't wish to walk a lot. Dotty is happy to sit around with you or follow you around the house. She prefers being indoors rather than outside. She does need encouragement to drink more, but is becoming better at this all the time especially after a walk or playtime. She sleeps right through the night and is fully housetrained and will simply fidget and go to the door when she wants to go out.
Dotty is a real joy and seriously a ladies dog. She seems to be better with another greyhound companion. She may stop eating when she goes to a new environment and I have tried her on some calming herbs which seem to work well, and if these were given a few days before she moved and whilst settling in I believe she would be eating again quickly once she feels secure and calm.
She knows the commands DOTTY COME and WAIT, and learns quickly.
