Affectionate and Loyal
Medium Female Kelpie Mix Dog

On Hold
Lacey is a Kelpie X Ridgeback. She is a friendly, loving and loyal dog who craves attention and bonds readily with people. She has been successfully living with two medium size dogs. Lacey is not good with cats or small dogs, as she can be overly dominant. She needs to be introduced to other dogs slowly and over an extended period of time, to let her know that other dogs are not necessarily a threat or in competition for the affection of her human.
Lacey is a fast learner. She is progressing well with her obedience training and is willing to please. She can sit, wait for her food and for permission to eat, and put herself outside after eating. She travels well in the car, walks well on lead and will sit and wait at intersections for permission to cross the road. Lacey loves long walks, playing ball, playing in water, and cuddles on the couch. While in care she has been an inside/outside dog, so is more than happy to be invited inside to be close to her family and to sleep. She will suit an active family with older children and/or an owner who is willing to continue her training and socializing. Ideally, Lacey will have company during the day and not be left alone for extended periods.
