Poppy has blossomed into a fab little girl who would love a home to give her all the love and patience she needs.
When she was surrendered to us, her owner at the time hadn't patted, handled or touched her since the day she purchased her from a breeder. At first this seemed strange but after having Poppy in our care it was soon clear she was anxious. After trying Rescue Remedy, relaxation music and other natural methods to calm her, we still had no luck.
By recommendation from our vets, Poppy started a medication to assist her with her confidence. Within a week we could pat her, then a day later stroking and another day later she would sit on our lap.
Poppy now knows and LOVES attention! She is overly affectionate and will purr, smooch and sometimes mouth for more of that L.O.V.E.
Confidence is the key and only experienced cat owners will be considered. If you approach her with hesitation she will question herself.
She gets a long great with other cats and loves being around them. But she hates dogs. So no dogs please! (Otherwise she would be staying with me lol)
She is desexed, microchipped, vaccinated, fleed and wormed.
She has no papers
She will need to be on medication twice a day for her anxiety. With consultation with your vet you may be able to lower the dose and eventually wean her off them.
But only applicants willing to accept that she will always be on them and are prepared to financially support her will be considered.
*** please take note, Poppy no longer has an eye infection and these photos and videos were from her over coming her anxiety. Although her eye looks sore we wanted to share her journey on her profile***
