A 3 yr old Domestic Short Haired male. He is cat, dog and child friendly .
Frankie came to us almost 18 months ago from Renbury Farm in Sydney. He was on their weekly euthanasia list and being that he was a timid street cat, had very little chance of getting adopted.
When Frankie arrived he just cowered and hid in his crate a lot and didn't like to be touched and refused to walk around people.
8 months in Frankie was a completely different cat. He loved people and craves attention. It was then that we noticed that Frankie had something very wrong with his legs.
You see Frankie has fusing patellas (his knee caps are fusing to the inner side of his knee rather then sitting on the top of the knee joint) This was caused by luxating petellas as a result of an injury that had happened when he was younger and as he was a colony cat had gone untreated.
Our vets assessed Frankie and said that due to the severity in which his kneecaps had displaced and that they had already begun to fuse to the surrounding bones, that attempting to replace the patella to its correct position surgically would be a waste of time and would likely leave Frankie worse off then he already was. The only way to fully correct this would be to have a specialist remove the knee joint completely and have them replace it with an artificial joint (like they do in humans with a knee replacement)
Frankie can walk however does not tend to go to far (usually from wherever he is up onto the lounge or window) where he will proceed to spend the day laying around and taking in everything
We are seeking a quiet retired home for Frankie where he can spend his days lazing around and won't have to worry about being harassed by children etc.
If you think you can provide Frankie with the home he needs please feel free to inbox us. However we are looking for a specific type of home and he will not be given to just anyone. The family who takes him needs to be aware that as he ages he may require pain medications but at present he isn't on any regular prescribed pain medications. He only gets it if he has been over active.
Please complete & submit a Adoption Application form via the link below.
****PLEASE NOTE: ALL KITTENS AND CATS ARE TO BE REHOMED TO INDOOR HOMES ONLY UNLESS OTHERWISE SPECIFIED****
We will then contact you via phone, organise a meet & greet between you & your chosen furbaby.
We offer a two week trial period with regular follow ups & ongoing support.
Interstate adoptions will be only transported by air unless otherwise discussed and agreed upon by both parties.
