Other dogs.
Yes. She is sometimes bossy so we recommend a home without other dogs unless you can mange their introduction.
Cats.
No
Kids.
Yes. However, preference will be given to a home with teenagers and older as Trippy is over the chaos and noise of toddlers and babies.
Size.
3.4 kgs kgs
Exercise requirements.
Medium. Trippy is playful and energetic.
How is this dog on a lead?
As is normal for dogs she starts off pulling with excitement but settles down.
How is this dog off the lead?
She is sometimes good but can distracted and wander off.
Escape artist.
No however, we always recommend a secure yard.
Nuisance barker or destructive.
No. Trippy talks when excited and like many other little fluffies can be vocal when they want your attention. She will alert you if something strange is about.
Toilet trained.
Yes.
Tolerance to being alone.
Yes if she has another dog for company. But as Trippy is people orientated she would prefer a home where someone is home more often than not – otherwise she will sleep her life away. Trippy may start to cry when you leave but usually settles down.
Likes.
Walks, car rides but most of all the company of her human family.
Dislikes.
She is scared of thunderstorms and needs soothing during storms. She currently has a thunder jacket and this appears to help.
Ideal home.
Trippy will make a wonderful companion for someone who wants an affectionate and playful snuggle pot. Active retirees would be perfect however, she will also suit folks with older kids or empty nesters. The key is that she deserves plenty of attention, love and affection. Trippy will not suit a home with elderly people, families with young kids or full time works looking for a new dog to baby sit their current dog who is lonely.
Generally
Trippy is extremely loyal. Like most little dogs she is also very smart and can be cunning and stubborn when she wants something. She will bond closely with her new owner and will fret if she is not given lots of time and cuddles.

Adoption details
1) Read the dog's profile
2) Complete the expression of Interest form
http://www.dogadoption.org.au/adoption---expression-of-interest.html
3) Speak to the carer and arrange a meeting
4) House assessment is completed
5) Adoption is completed with a minimum 2 week cooling off period (similar to a trial but with legal protection)
We strongly recommend you read the dogs' profile carefully as everything we know about the dog/s is listed.
If you are interested in a dog we invite you to submit an application form so we can learn more about your circumstances. This is to ensure we match the right dog to the best home. (one form per family - not per dog) http://www.dogadoption.org.au/adoption---expression-of-interest.html
This is for the benefit of both the dog and the potential new owner/s. It also saves time and uses limited resources more effectively.
Once the essential criteria is confirmed we put you in touch with the carer for a more detailed chat with a view of meeting the dog/s.
If you decide to proceed with the adoption we make a time for a house check.
The adoption fee is then paid (there is a 2 week cooling off period.) Please note we do not usually allow trials.
Foster carers are also able to adopt foster dogs once approved.
