On Hold
Toots is a bit of a mischievous boy who is definitely one to entertain you for hours with his playful antics rather than constantly wanting to lay on your lap for a pat. Not that he doesn't enjoy an affectionate pat at times but is far too busy to stop for too long! He will need plenty of toys and a scratching pole to help keep him occupied and out of trouble.... hopefully!
During his stay at the shelter Toots has used his litter tray without any accidents. He will need to be kept inside for at least the first 2-3 months after he goes home to allow him to familiarise with 'home' so if he is let outside after that time he will be able to find his way home again.
Toots settled in fairly quickly around the other cats here at the shelter but if you do already have a cat and you are thinking of adopting Toots you need to be prepared to allow plenty of time and space for them to settle in and get used to eachother. Any other pets in the household should be introduced to Toots slowly and under supervision.
Toots would be best suited to a family with no young children as he is not one to want to be picked up and carried around and enjoy constant attention. Older children who are happy to waive a toy around for him throw him some scrunched up paper to play with etc are much more suited to him.
