Some insight from Harry's lovely foster carers :)
We have been fostering Harry, a likely Shepherd Cross, & he is a great dog!
I found him to be intelligent & learnt things quickly.
Harry was nervous at first with new surroundings & travelling in the car, but it didn't take him long to feel comfortable.
The same with new people, wary & sometimes nervous at first, but he soon settled to show his true personality - playful, loving & a bit goofy!
Harry now jumps up into the car with enthusiasm.
He loves getting out & about, & walks well on the lead (we used the front clip harness).
On the walks, at each road crossing, Harry would sit & wait on command.
We think Harry would also prove to be a great running buddy, having tested him over a short distance.
Harry is playful & energetic with other dogs, but a slow introduction is necessary to test the waters.
He showed us that he can be a bit of a ladies man when he wants to be.
Harry's very favourite thing is water.
Chasing the water from the hose is one of his favourite games, it entertains & exercises him.
A paddling pool of water is also a good way to keep him occupied.
Harry loves playing with his toys & chasing balls. Showing off his manly skills to anyone who is about.
He enjoys a bit of rough boy play, but will stop when told.
After his walk or play, Harry is quite happy chilling out & laying in front of the fire at night.
Harry is very good that he doesn't beg when people are eating. Something I wasn't used to with other dogs.
Although, he was interested in the smell of chickennow his favourite treat.
He does prefer a smaller softer dog pellet, over crunchy ones.
We both work full-time, so Harry was by himself for most of the day & seemed to be content wandering the yard.
We would come home to a very excited boy, that was interested in whatever we were doing around the house & entertaining us playing with his toys!
