About Dahlia
Dahlia is a very active strong girl. Once she gets rid of the initial excitement about walking she calms down. Dahlia is very mouthy so she needs a family with patience and a calm environment to teach her some manners. They also need to be fit to manage her strength. She is affectionate with people and likes to lick your face. Volunteers say out walking "mostly ignored dogs, looked at them and slightly pulled toward them", "Showed no dog aggression on our walk. Very affectionate" “Very scared of loud noises, trucks and loud cars. One silver car parked on driveway next to car park sped past and shouted out the window – she was so scared she wouldn’t move for 20 minutes".
Adult Home: Nervous or not tolerant of children. And/or too high a level of excitability for children to control.
Garden: Needs a home that has more space as well as a garden for exercise and regular walks outside.
Suit Part Time Worker: Copes alone for short periods, with training possibly longer but presently does need someone home part of the time.
Medical notes
She comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
