Buddy Fawkes: cuddly, smoochy, playful and NEEDS to be with you as much as possible!
Kids: Children 9+
**My perfect home
-Humans who love cuddles and play
-A nice cat or kitten to cuddle
Buddy is the perfect little mate! He earnt his name ‘Buddy’ by always being his rescuers shadow and partner in crime! He is cuddly, smoochy, playful and NEEDS to be with you as much as possible! He needs another cat or dog friend to keep him occupied. Buddy LOVES your bed, burying down into the pillow pile is the best thing ever!
Buddy cannot jump perfectly yet due to brain trauma creating issues with his balance, (see his story for more info), but this is improving every day! This is also the reason we think older children would be the best fit for him. Little hands can accidentally hurt him. As he gets bigger and stronger he will be able to tolerate a lot more!
Buddy has a lovely soft short coat, but he will be a big solid built cat! This little man LOVES his food!
Buddy’s story is a sad one. Buddy is one of two kittens who were purposefully hurt and dumped. Head and brain trauma left both kittens in a bad state. Unfortunately Buddy’s brother Phoenix didn’t make it, and died from his injuries. Thankfully Buddy pulled through, learning to walk again took a few days, but once he was going, he didn’t stop!
Buddy has come leaps and bounds in his rehabilitation. From a kitten slipping in and out of consciousness, to learning to walk, he now bolts through the house looking for toys or other cats to rough up! He pounces, runs and tumbles like most other kittens. You would never guess how bad he was!
We would prefer a home with older kids who know how to act around cats, just as a precaution. Buddy is still recovering, his eyes are still a bit dopey, and he is still perfecting his balance and re-learning to jump. Most people would never guess his history!
Buddy looks forward to a long, happy and healthy life with the right humans to share it with.

Step 4b: if they aren’t the missing piece of the puzzle, you can meet our other rescue kitties or I can put you in contact with one of our sister rescues!
Support is offered in the following weeks, in the form of phone calls, emails or home visits, as the new member settles in. Bauhas also offers life time support with the new furrever family.
All adoption fees are at a flat rate of $120 and include desexing, microchipping, vaccination with F4, flea and worm treatment. FIV test if applicable and further lab testing thereafter.
There is no difference between kitten, teen or adult prices.
