About Fraser- Dingo
Fraser is a well mannered, easy going friendly boy who loves other dogs and dingoes. He also less boisterous than many dingoes and has a great measured, gentle temperament. He is good on lead and quick to learn new tricks and commands. He is very affectionate with people he knows and whilst he adores his human friends, like a lot of dingoes, he can take some time getting to know you and is more wary of taller/larger men than other people. Because of his shy nature it would be great to see him find a home with a canine friend!
Fraser loves walks and going for adventures, but needs some work at not pulling on the lead, at the same time he is leash trained and will follow you when going for walks and would love someone who regularly walks or jogs.
FENCING-
Like all dingoes Fraser is a fantastic climber and digger, and will require a dog enclosure or a secure 2.5m meter fence with top angling or flat-top extensions (http://www.dog-blog-world.com/dog-fence/), Sydney Fox Rescue are able to provide dingo proofing for your existing yard for between $200-500 depending on the size of the yard. We can also provide and install 6m x 6m dingo enclosures for $500.
Please note SFR do not rehome dingoes to homes without a dog enclosure or modified dog fence like the one described above.
PERMITS- no permit is required to own a dingo or dingo hybrid in NSW at the present time.
Medical notes
All our rescues come to their new homes desexed, vaccination and microchipped as well as treated for fleas, mites, worms and ticks.
Adoption details
Please note at this time pending legal advice we are unable to offer fox kit adoption to private owners.
Adopting a dingo from Sydney Fox Rescue is essentially a three step process:
1. Fill out an adoption form and send it back to us with an email outlining anything else you think might be relevant, particularly what your house and yard are like. Remember our dingoes require an enclosure or modified fencing.
2. Come along to meet us and our dingoes at our Blacktown shelter or their foster carers home and let us find the right furry family member for you.
3. Before you can pick up your new dingo you will also need to under a house/yard check and pay your adoption fee. No animals are rehomed unless their adoption fee is paid in full.
