About Dezzy
Dezzy is a very soft gentle boy once he knows you however he is not friendly with strangers and can nip. He is very social with other dogs and is easy to groom. Dezzy walks well on loose lead and pays no attention to passing dogs or cars. Dezzy is not fond of being around men or children and we believe he has been in a home with domestic violence. He would be best suited to a single female household where someone is home most of the time. Dezzy does not cope being left alone. He barks at strangers or people near the fence. He is not good with birds nor cats. He has a non-shedding coat and weighs 5.6kg.
Dezzy needs a handler who has in depth understanding of what rescue dogs require & previous experience rehabilitating traumatised dogs.
Apartment Friendly: Could cope in an apartment environment. Regular walks or use of an artificial grass patch is suggested.
Adult Home: Nervous or not tolerant of children. And/or too high a level of excitability for children to control.
Suit Home Based Worker: Unable to cope alone and has shown signs of separation anxiety. Needs human company.
Low Shedding
NEEDS RESCUE EXPERIENCE:
These dogs need someone with previous rescue experience in rehabilitation, with an in depth understanding of and experience in building relationships with these kinds of dogs.
Medical notes
He comes desexed, C5 vaccinated, heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet.
Adoption details
DoggieRescue is a charitable organisation and as such we rely very much on volunteers to manage our adoptions. We answer initial adoption enquiries by email or phone and then arrange an appointment for you to meet some of our rescue dogs.
At DoggieRescue we believe our dogs deserve to find that special someone who will love them and look after them forever. We know that there are homes out there that are willing to accommodate one more little member of the family and dedicate time to their well being.
