Jack and Jessie are the most beautiful pair of sweet natured whippets. Jessie is smaller than Jack in build and may possibly have some Italian Greyhound in there somewhere. They are both timid and very polite inkeeping with the true whippet nature with friendly dispositions and both have the most beautifully soft coats. They are very obedient and obliging and only want to be 'good dogs!' They love to please their people and love nothing better than being couch potatoes!
They were both previously failed hunting dogs (rabbits) for a farmer, though mingle happily with my chooks and small dogs and don't even seem interested in any of the wild birds that land here in great quantity. Not sure about cats as we don't own any but we do have a neighbourhood pet cat who passes through occasionally with no reaction from these two. They are also good with kids living with 3 children under 10yrs for 2-3 months before coming to live with me.
They currently live with 6 small breed foster furbrothers and fursisters happily though we feel they would be more comfortable as only children as with their timid natures they can feel a bit intimidated by all the activity of the small dogs and retreat to their beds. We do all go around the property twice a day to check the chooks and feed all the horses where all dogs as a group enjoy a good run and play together.
These guys are just the most beautiful pair who will thrive in the right home where they can feel special and get the attention they deserve!
They are located in Ballarat Vic.
Sorry about all the photo's I just love these guys and am always taking pics of them and just couldn't decide lol ;0)
