Zac is a gentle soul with a big heart, Zac is completely blind and partially deaf, so like most men, he can be a bit difficult to communicate with! Lol
Zac has seen a specialist, who has suggested that surgery is an option but like most blind dogs Zac copes very well in his regular surrounds.
Zac suffers from dry eye and requires twice daily treatment with ointment for the rest of his life which he is very obliging in taking.
He also requires twice daily eye drops which help reduce inflammation which is more a preventative measure to help prevent the likelihood of developing glaucoma and again is a good boy when having it applied so makes both these tasks easy. He will require 6 month vet check ups to keep a check on this.
Zac came into care with his two sisters (Peppa and Princess) and although we would prefer to rehome them all together one of his sisters (Princess) is very independent and not needing her siblings so much so if we could rehome Zac and his other sister Peppa together it would be ideal although we would consider separate rehoming if the situation was right for him. Both his sisters are currently also on petrescue and looking for their forever homes also.
They are all such beautiful, loving and gentle dogs that will fill their new owner’s heart with joy for many years.
They are very playful, big smooches that love affection, are great with kids and other small dogs, are house trained, enjoy short walks and even walk nicely on the lead together (except when Zac decides he’s had enough, he’ll plonk down and refuse to go any further!) ;0)
