Yin is a domestic short hair silver tabby male cat.
Yin was very scared in the pound, and looked quite feral. It was suspected that he was a 'she' and possibly pregnant, but neither thing turned out to be the case!
Yin is not quite a "community cat", despite being unsocialised. He has a history of not getting on very well with other cats at all. His inclination during some testing around other cats was to hunt them down and attack! But more recently, Yin appears to be wanting to be around other cats. At this time he can't really be trusted though, due to the fact that he has a bad track record. Yin is a changed cat to when he first arrived in foster care - he rolls around showing affection, though you may touch him only at your own peril! He acts like he wants you to pat him ... but it's risky to attempt it. ;)
LIKES / DISLIKES
Yin dislikes being cooped up - the longer he is, the more feral he becomes. He loves having space to walk around and stretch his legs. He also loves having a couch to call his own. He loves his food.
We hope to move Yin to a foster home where either he is the only cat, or the humans are able to test him out very carefully around other pets. Yin is the kind of cat who needs to have his own space, but he also needs further socialising. A foster home with people who have lots of time to spend with Yin would be great. Experienced cat people are a must for Yin.
