Raven is a domestic short hair black female adult cat.
Raven was located in an environment where she had had twice-daily interaction with a kind man who was feeding her and the other cats, but she wasn't really used to any other people. When she first got into foster care, Raven raced straight behind the oven, and stayed there for many weeks, except at night when her foster mum as asleep and out of the way.
After her initial time behind the oven, Raven has emerged from her oven home but she is still very timid. She loves her fellow foster friend Ursulus, another black cat. As an ex-community cat she is fine with other cats. She is in a home with two other cats with no dramas.
LIKES / DISLIKES
Raven dislikes attention from her human companion. She will run and hide if her foster carer tries to reach out and pat her. However, she loves attention from her beloved Ursulus. She spends time on the human's bed, but at the end of the bed, out of reach of any roaming hands wanting to pat her!
Raven needs a home with people who have other cats that they are allowed to snuggle up with. Raven needs to see that snuggling with a human is a great thing, so that she can get used to the idea over time. In truth, a cat like Raven may take years to be pattable, or she may never be pattable. But she deserves a loving forever home, just like any other cat. And who doesn't love a good 'basement cat'?
