About Pj
PJ is a terrier (fox or jack) / cattle dog mix at the moment she appears to be heading more towards the terrier size and we expect her to be around the 8-10 kg mark in adulthood. Basically she will be a combination of the breeds and so we expect smaller than a normal sized cattle dog.
Pj is a little less confident than Sophie but this is already changeing as she is more socialised. PJ is growing in confidence with her much bigger and older foster siblings and starting to initiate play. She will need gentle ongoing socialisation with other dogs to continue the process. She would love a kind older canine companion to help show her the ropes and provide company when her people aren’t around, but she could be an only dog as long as her family keeps up with her socialisation out of the home.
Being a terrier/cattle dog mix, PJ is likely to be a high energy girl. For all her being the slightly less confident pup she tears around the yard with her sibling and would make a great companion for young or older kids, someone who wants a jogging partner or someone interested in dog sports. We would like her new family to enrol her in puppy preschool and continue with obedience training. Terriers and cattle dogs can be both smart and stubborn, so she will need strong leadership and boundaries.
PJ sleeps inside in a crate at night and doesn’t make a peep. We are looking for a home that will continue to allow PJ to be inside as part of the family, and to sleep inside.
