About Ziggy
Ziggy is a beautiful gentleman. He has a lovely temperament. We have never seen Ziggy show aggression to any human or animal. As an older boy, he has become even more mellow. He would be suitable to a home with an older person, or a loving family, or just about anyone, really!
Ziggy enjoys food, car rides, walks, snacks, cuddles, pats, lying in the sun, eating, and the odd, very-short-lived wrestling game. Ziggy is toilet trained.
Ziggy is low maintenance and well behaved - he doesn't chew things up, he rarely jumps up, and only occassionally barks. He's not going to pull your washing off the line or chew up your shoes.
As a very senior man, we would describe Ziggy as frail. We have had Ziggy's blood tested which didn't show anything of concern.
Ziggy is used to living as an only dog, but has lived with other dogs in foster care. He has enjoyed following Hagrid and our foster dogs around our yard.
Ziggy has previously lived with children and cats and we expect he would be okay living with them again.
Ziggy was surrendered very overweight and with untreated arthritis. His movement has improved a great deal in the time he has been in care, but he needs a home that will continue to reduce his weight and manage his arthritis. We have kindly received several supplements which we think are helping, and these will go with him to his new home. Ziggy is also receiving 6-monthly injections for athritis, which will need to continue for life.
We would love Ziggy to have a home where there are people around most of the time to shower him with all the love he deserves.
In the past, Ziggy has had skin allergies. Currently, his skin looks good though he may have flare ups depending on what plants are in his new home and the time of the year.
Ziggy does not have an adoption fee, as we just want him to find a home through his senior years.
Ziggy would love to meet you.
