Lovely Lily looking for love. That's me! 4 L's, but the most important one of them all is "love". I think it is important in your relationship with your human. After all, the human is there to feed and adore you, and you just, well, love them back! It's all they seem to require in my experience :) Would you like me to love you?
WHAT WE THINK
Lily is adorable. \ A striking looking cat she attracted our attention in a high kill pound in Sydney and she has been loving us ever since. We in turn would love for her to find her forever human.
HOME WE ARE AFTER:
You must be able to provide me with a loving long term and safe home. This means keeping me inside. I would be fine in an apartment as long as I didn't have free run of the balcony if it wasn't fully enclosed. Please ensure your house or apartment can contain a cat inside (i.e. fly screens etc).
Please remember that owning a cat is a lifelong commitment so please be prepared to commit to loving and keeping your cat for the next 15 to 20 years.
ABOUT YOU: Given you know all about me, my foster parents would like to know something about who my new parents are going to be. They have rescued me from death row and have given me a lot of love care and love. I know they love me and therefore want the best for me.
I am desexed, microchipped and vaccinated (1st F3). I have been lifetime registered as required by the law of NSW, if you could reimburse my foster mum the $49 she has paid, that would be greatly appreciated.
STEP 1: Send us an email with some details about the home you can offer. We like to match people to animals so the result is a happy home for life for owner and animal. Accordingly, as we already know the cat, we want to understand what you believe you can bring to the relationship. Please include a contact telephone number in your email, including, if necessary, the time it may be most convenient for us to contact you.
STEP 2: We will give you a call to discuss the animal. The person calling you will be a Pound Cat Adoptions coordinator, or the cat's foster carer.
STEP 3: If all sounds great and we both think it would be a good match for you, then we usually come and visit you in your home for a meet and greet. We put a lot of time into our cats and like to be certain they will live in a safe environment, so we do like to see their potential new home and to meet your other family members.
STEP 4: If we all agree that it is a good match then an adoption can take place.
STEP 5: We do offer a trial period of 2 weeks, which can be extended if necessary. \ If it becomes clear the relationship will not work, we are very happy to take the cat back and will return the majority of the adoption fee, unless you want to try again with a different cat. We want to ensure that the cat is happy and so are you, and understand that sometimes things do not work out. In those circumstances, we want the cat back - we do not want it to end up in another pound environment! We help where we can by providing advice on care of the animal as best we can but will refer you to vets for any health issues.
All our animals will be desexed, vaccinated (at least 1st F3), microchipped and their worming and flea treatments will be up to date. Some are also life time registered for NSW.
