About Gypsy (On Trial 10/11/13)
Gypsy is a 2 year old, female, Kelpie x Labrador. This beautiful girl would make the best companion for an active person, couple, or family as she is very loyal and loves life. She knows a few basic commands such as sit and is learning to wait to be invited inside. She is not a barker but will alert you when visitors arrive.

She is very energetic and still jumps sometimes when she greets you (which we are working on) therefore best suited to a family with older kids. She is not keen on the resident cats so a home without cats is recommended.
Gypsy is housetrained. She comes inside for cuddles at night but then will happily sleep outside in her warm kennel. She is fine when we all go out because she has another dog for companionship. She gets along great with other dogs. However due to her vivacious personality she can be overwhelming to some so a meet and greet with the family dog (if applicable) is a must. She’s still very much a puppy at heart so she would benefit from further training.
This girl will melt your heart as she is such a joy to be around. You can tell by looking at her that she has that spark and to whom ever adopts her will be getting themselves a very loyal and eager to please girl.
For more information or to meet Gypsy please phone foster carer Karla on 0467 091 478. Gypsy is in foster care near Singleton, NSW (Hunter Valley, northwest of Newcastle) and is available for adoption interstate.
Gypsy's $400 adoption fee includes her desexing, vaccinations, flea and worm treatments, microchipping, and lifetime registration. You can see all our available dogs at www.dogrescuenewcastle.com.au

Adoption details
(1) The first step is to phone (preferred) or email the foster carer listed on the pet's profile (scroll to the bottom on the description). They can tell you all about the pet. They will also ask you about what sort of home you are offering in order to assess if it is a good match.
(2) Arrange to meet the pet, usually at the foster carers home or nearby.
(3) If that goes well we will arrange a property check so we can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've selected. They will ask to see photo ID.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
