Wanted- single female lady to love a ‘velcro’ heeler.
Hi, My name’s Red. I haven’t had a great start to life, but my foster carer believes I have great potential to be your new best friend. I would be fine as an only dog, but can also get along with other dogs. I am currently living with a family and three other dogs, but I only like my foster mum the best. Something has happened to me with men so I don’t like them at all and kids are far too scary for me. I need a lady to love me and adore me and help continue building my confidence and trust. In return I will love you back, will follow you like a shadow and protect you and basically be your best friend. I must admit I do snore but I am happy to sleep on the decking or down the other end of the house. I am a red cattle dog maybe crossed with something small like a Jack Russell so I am compact in size. I walk nicely on the lead but can get scared sometimes, and I’m not a fan of the car but just need to learn that isn’t a horrible thing, so routine will be important to me to gain my confidence in you and the day to day life. I do like toys and the ball, but I don’t bring them back. When I get excited I wiggle my whole body and wag my tail off and make piggy snorting noises. I am about one and half and have beautiful brown eyes and a lovely speckled red and white coat which is very soft. I am happy in my yard while you are at work and like to sit in the shade, and my favourite spot at the moment is under the rosemary bush. One of my doggy friends has taught me to play and I love chasey and a wrestle, but I am gentle. I have found my voice only recently, but am not a barker as such, but will warn you if someone is coming in the gate. I get very excited when I hear your car pull up in the drive and I am my very own welcoming committee when I see you. I don’t mind a ear scratch now and then and am happy to come in after dinner and sit with you at the computer or the couch. So if you are a single lady looking for a little cutie to be your new bestie I could be the gal for you.
