FOSTER OR FOSTER TO ADOPT HOME NEEDED ❤️

For nearly seven months, Ruby has been waiting.

While other dogs have found loving foster homes and families, Ruby has watched from her kennel, patiently hoping that one day it will be her turn.

Ruby is a gentle, affectionate Kelpie with so much love to give. Once she trusts you, she becomes your loyal shadow, happiest when she's by your side, playing with her toys, learning new things, or simply soaking up every bit of affection you have to offer. She doesn't ask for much, just someone willing to believe in her.

The world outside the shelter can still feel a little scary. Busy streets, loud noises and unfamiliar places can be overwhelming, so Ruby is looking for a quiet home where she can continue building her confidence at her own pace. She has been working closely with our behaviour trainer and veterinary team and is making wonderful progress with the support of behavioural medication.

Ruby is searching for patient, physically fit humans, with a secure backyard who can continue her confidence-building journey through positive reinforcement, enrichment, and love. She would do best as the only pet in the home, without cats or pocket pets. She would be best in a home with older kids or teenagers.

After seven months of waiting, we know Ruby's person is out there. If you've ever thought about fostering, this beautiful girl is waiting for someone to give her the chance she's been hoping for. We promise that every small step forward will be worth it.
