About Serafina
Serafina is a desexed female Persian Mix available for adoption in Fairlight (Northern Beaches, NSW).
Serafina is a cat who knows her own mind, and once she decides you're worth knowing, she'll make sure you hear about it. She's the kind of companion who fills a home with quiet personality: adventuring outside, finding the sunniest patch in the garden, and reappearing inside to tell you all about it.
She's independent without being aloof. Serafina enjoys company very much and will come over for pats and settle in beside you, but she likes to initiate on her own schedule. Once she's decided you're her person, she's a warm, engaged companion — she just likes to be the one who makes that call.
A little about Serafina:
🐾 Talkative and expressive — she will absolutely tell you how she's feeling
🐾 Confident around dogs; does best with a calm companion who gives her mutual respect
🐾 Loves to be outside, adventuring in the garden, watching the world from a fence, soaking up the sun
🐾 Affectionate in her own way — a rub against your leg is her version of a warm hello
🐾 Clever and curious, with a quiet sensitivity that means she settles best in a calm, unhurried household
Serafina's days have a comfortable rhythm: outside in the morning, sleeping in the sun, and back inside by evening to claim her spot on the bed. She's not a lap cat in the traditional sense, but she'll position herself close. Scratch behind her ears and under her chin, and she will make it very clear she approves.
She has grown up with dogs and is well-practised at finding higher ground when she wants a moment, and equally happy to wander back down when things settle. A calm canine housemate would be a good match for Serafina.
Serafina will suit a home where life moves at a relaxed pace. She'd do well with older children who understand cat body language, and with guardians who appreciate a companion that engages on her own terms.
A home with safe outdoor access — a garden she can call her own territory — would be a wonderful fit.
She doesn't need much — a calm environment and someone willing to let her find her feet. Once she's comfortable, her personality opens right up.
Picture this: Sunday morning, back door open, Serafina stretched out in a warm patch of garden while you have your coffee. By afternoon, she's back inside, finding a spot beside you, close enough to be present and comfortable enough to stay.
Serafina is looking for a guardian who values independence and companionship in equal measure.

Adoption details
When enquiring about a pet listed with Home2Home, your enquiry goes directly to the pet’s guardian—the person who knows them best!
From here, the guardian will be in touch to learn more about you and chat with you about their pet. It’s a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the pet, including its likes and dislikes, needs, and how it may fit into your lifestyle and family.
If your home and lifestyle match the pet's needs, the next step will be arranging a meet-and-greet to make sure everyone is happy to proceed with a formal adoption.
Following the adoption, change of ownership paperwork will be completed, and proof of vaccination, microchipping, and desexing (if applicable, as indicated on the listing) will be provided.
All pets adopted through Home2Home will require an adoption contract to be signed and an adoption fee to be paid. The pet’s guardian will complete the adoption contract with you and provide a link to PetRescue’s secure payment portal for completing the adoption fee payment.
Home2Home currently operates a ‘pay what you choose’ system for cat adoption fees. This means that adopters will be able to choose an adoption fee amount that is suitable for them. All adoption fees are used to support PetRescue's life-saving programs, including Home2Home.
