Fionnuala (pronounced Fin-oo-la) is an Irish name meaning “fair-shouldered,” and like her name, she’s something truly special.

At just over a year old, this golden Kelpie cross is equal parts athlete, comedian, and cuddle bug.

She will have you laughing nonstop with her clown antics — happily leaping from one spot to another, zooming with enthusiasm, and flashing those signature inquisitive looks with one ear up and one ear down. And then there are her eyes… stunning golden eyes lined in natural dark “eyeliner” that make her an absolute heart-stealer.

Fionnuala is medium to high energy and thrives on adventure — hikes, beach walks, exploring new places, or simply being part of your day. After a busy outing, she settles beautifully for a long snooze and otherwise loves being close to her people.

She still has those joyful puppy traits — playful, enthusiastic, and occasionally cheeky. Like many clever young dogs, she has been known to take herself on the occasional “solo expedition,” so she’ll need a secure yard and ongoing guidance as she matures into the incredible dog she’s destined to be.

She is very food-motivated and responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement training, making her education both fun and rewarding. She’s smart, willing, and ready to keep learning.

Fionnuala is looking for an active, loving home that will keep her entertained with games and adventures and importantly maintain her ongoing training. A confident furry playmate would be a wonderful bonus to help mentor her — but she would also shine as the solo star with plenty of human love and engagement.

She would suit a single adult, couple, or family with older kids who are ready to invest in her training journey and enjoy the process of watching her blossom.
