About Ren - Tiny Whippet
Meet Ren, a tiny 12kg desexed female Whippet with a heart full of potential and love.
Ren’s former life as a breeding dog is now behind her and she’s been living in foster care for nearly 5 months learning how to enjoy being a cherished family member.
Ren is now enjoying inside living, good quality food, daily walks, company of gentle children 5 year plus and being involved in general town living family life.
She’s a very clean dog, fully toilet trained and lives harmoniously alongside her canine pals, Harvey, a lovable Jack Russell terrier and Jezzy, a small dog friendly greyhound.
Ren has not been trialled with cats at this stage.
Although Ren is initially a bit unsettled and timid in new environments due to her previous circumstances, she is a remarkably sweet and loyal dog. She has a typical Whippet personality, quirky and funny, and she loves chasing balls and soft toys once she’s comfortable with her humans.
Her gentle nature extends to children, making her a perfect fit for a family seeking a gentle senior addition. She is not suitable for children under 5 or children who are not experienced with senior rescue dogs.
Ren thrives in the company of other calm dogs, who provide her with the security and companionship she needs. She is OK to be left at home for periods of time with another dog for company
A very smart little lady, Ren was very quick to learn how to use the doggy door in her foster home and enjoys access to a yard where she can lay in the sun if she wishes to.
Ren is desexed, fully vaccinated and has had her dental work (including required extractions) completed. She is in very good health and loves her daily walks and ‘sniff-aris’ around the village where her foster family live.
Being a sighthound Ren will need to be kept on a lead at all times when outside her yard to keep her safe.
If you’re looking to provide a soft landing for a deserving senior girl, Ren could be your ideal furry companion. With her gentle presence and loyal soul she will enrich your life and home.
Medical notes
Ren was desexed and vaccinated when she came into our care 4 months ago. She also required some dental extractions which have been completed.
Adoption details
After rehabilitation a profile is created of the animal to help find them the perfect match. Applicants can apply via my website using the application form. A house inspection (can be virtual) is required and then a visit can be arranged. If all goes well a two week trial in their new home begins, after completion of the two weeks the adoption will be finalised.
