About Stormi!
Stormi is a stunning Persian cat with a gentle soul who’s looking for a very special home to call her own.
Cats like Stormi often receive a lot of interest, but it’s important that her future family understands her unique needs. Please read her full bio carefully and take the time to educate yourself on the care requirements of Persian and other flat-faced (brachycephalic) breeds before applying.
Stormi is a sweet, calm, and affectionate companion cat. She has a truly gentle disposition, loves a relaxed environment, and thrives in a quiet, peaceful home where she can feel safe and loved.
We feel she would best suit a home without young children or dogs. She would be okay with another relaxed cat who will give her space and relax with her.
It is crucial to acknowledge the ethical concerns surrounding the breeding of flat-faced animals like Persian cats, Pugs, French Bulldogs, and similar breeds. These animals are often bred for appearance rather than health or well-being, leading to chronic health issues, especially breathing difficulties, that no animal should have to endure. What society often labels as “cute” is, in many cases, a deformity that causes lifelong discomfort.
It’s heartbreaking that loving, healthy cats are euthanised every day due to the ongoing homeless pet crisis, while animals like Stormi continue to be bred and sold for high prices, despite often suffering from preventable health problems created by demand-driven breeding practices.
Stormi is desexed, up to date with vaccinations, flea/worm treated, microchipped and kitty litter trained.
Stormi deserves a home that not only loves her but also understands the responsibility that comes with caring for a cat like her. If you’re ready to offer her a safe, quiet, and compassionate home and are informed about the realities of flat-faced breeds please read the information below and fill out an application form:

🧼 Grooming Needs:
Persians are high-maintenance when it comes to grooming. Without consistent care, their beautiful coat can quickly become matted and uncomfortable.
Daily Brushing: Their long, dense coat requires daily combing with a metal comb to prevent tangles and mats, especially under the arms, behind the ears, and around the collar area.
Eye Cleaning: Due to their flat faces, Persians often have excessive tear staining. Gently wipe their eyes daily with a damp cloth or pet-safe wipe to avoid staining and discomfort.
Ear Cleaning: Check weekly for debris or signs of infection.
😿 Common Health Issues:
Persians are prone to several breed-specific health concerns. Awareness and proactive care can help prevent or manage these issues.
Brachycephalic Syndrome (Flat Face Issues): Symptoms: Noisy breathing, snoring, difficulty breathing in heat or during exercise. Care Tips: Keep them cool, avoid stress and exertion, and consult a vet if breathing seems labored.
Eye Problems: Common Conditions: Epiphora (excessive tearing), entropion (inward-rolling eyelids), cherry eye. Care Tips: Daily cleaning, regular vet checks, and surgical correction if necessary.
Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD): A genetic disorder that causes fluid-filled cysts in the kidneys. Management: Regular ultrasounds, bloodwork, and kidney-supportive diets.
Dental Disease: Due to their jaw structure and flat face, Persians are prone to dental crowding and periodontal disease. Care Tips: Regular dental checkups, daily tooth brushing (if possible), and dental diets or treats.
Skin Conditions: Their skin is sensitive and can develop fungal infections, especially if mats form. Prevention: Regular grooming and bathing.
