Percy The Cat:

Percy is a very curious and affectionate cat who loves having a good chin scratch.

I was expecting Percy to not come up to me for a few days or even weeks, but to my surprise, on the first night he had arrived at my house, he was coming up to me and sitting on my lap for a cuddle.

It took him one week to be fully comfortable with me, my partner, my sister, and my brother-in-law, who live with us, and not be as jumpy. He now appears to be very comfortable being around new human friends who come and visit, coming out to say hello immediately.

Percy enjoys using his scratching board and being playful with us and his cat toys. He enjoys getting his biscuits out of his little egg carton and tossing them in the air. Percy dislikes getting his dinner too late in the evening and not getting enough chin scratches, as he LOVES getting some cuddles and scratches, especially chin ones!

Percy usually gets up just after 6 a.m. and goes into my bed for a cuddle and a chin scratch. He eats his breakfast around 7 a.m. and then has a little play before going to sleep again. I shut my bedroom door at night, and when I come out to see what he's up to, he's usually just pottering around, being curious.

We do not have any other animals at the house or children, so I can't say if he's good with either or.....

I think the best home for Percy is a loving one with people who will take the time for Percy to feel safe and comfortable with them.... 

Medical Notes

Purcy has mild dental tartar and associated gum changes. This is very common in mature cats.

Purcy has a skin condition called Feline Acne or Chin Acne. It is not known what causes this skin reaction, though it is usually mild and manageable. Using stainless steel or ceramic bowls rather than plastic often assists.

Purcy has a waiver for Cat Flu (recovered).

Purcy is located with his foster family in Woodvale.
