Yuki. Perfect best friend for a staffy lover

Yuki is a beautifully natured girl who wants
to be around her people and to make them happy. She's very much a cuddler, her favourite spot is curled up on the couch with you. She loves all kinds of pats and melts into you with long strokes over her beautiful velvet coat.

Yuki is eager to please and wants to do right by you, never against you. She was not loved in her previous home, as soon as she was old enough she was used for breeding and left by herself down the side of a house with no shelter, very inconsistent food, and no attention other than to yell at her. When we first met her she was a sad, skinny dog with no spark in her eyes; she looked exhausted from trying to do the right thing but being constantly yelled at. Despite this she was terrified to leave her small, dirty space and we had to cover her in a blanket to get her in the car.

Now, 11 months later, she's a happy, bouncy, cuddly, affectionate girl who loves to play with toys, go for walks and fall asleep in your arms! Her past is well and truly behind her and she's ready to find her very own person who will love her as much as she will love them.

WHO IS HER PERFECT PERSON
She'll thrive with someone who wants a close, bonded relationship with their dog and will give her the love and security she so desperately wants. Someone who will involve her in things, whether it be going for a run, playing in the backyard, or hogging the bed. She doesn't have separation anxiety although would be lonely if you were gone alot so a WFH or part time worker is her perfect match.

WHAT TYPE OF BACKYARD DOES SHE NEED
She likes to run around with her toys so some type of yard or property would be best. She's never attempted to jump or dig under a fence while with us but is super smart so secure fencing is a must.

WHAT'S SHE LIKE WITH OTHER DOGS
Yuki has the potential to socialise well with other dogs with some group training under her belt. Right now she'd love a walking buddy and if that goes well could have play dates off lead. She had to learn how to play, she would get too excited and nibble the ear of her son (in foster care) a bit too hard. However she's so responsive to direction that it only took us clapping our hands a few times for her to learn she was being asked to adjust her play behaviour and now she's wonderful with that dog! She just needs practice to kmow how much excitement, how much calmness etc is the best way to meet dogs on lead.

WHAT ABOUT CATS
She has shown positive body language around cats. She's in foster care at a home where a netted cat enclosure comes off the house and she loves to interact with the cats, play bowing at them and trying to get them to play :) With the right cat - one who's confident and can put a dog in it's place while also wanting to play with it - and with careful introductions, she could be a wonderful friends with a kitty!

CONCLUSION
Yuki is a beautiful soul with overflowing love to give, and so much potential to be around other dogs, cats and just be a wonderful companion and friend to the right person 🥰
