About Rosie
Rosie is a beautiful nine year old gentle German Shepherd who has lived in a family home growing up with young children and has been a much loved family dog. This gorgeous lady has found herself needing a new home as her owners have to move and they cannot take her with them.
Rosie is good around other dogs but hasn't lived with another dog.
We can see Rosie being the perfect companion dog for a retired couple or a young family wanting a gentle, well mannered and house trained dog and who will allow her to sleep inside, keep them company whilst reading or watching tv and only wanting the companionship and love this gentle lady deserves.
Rosie is also respectful around children and would enjoy gentle walks and loves to play in a kiddies play pool so I can image she would love water even a visit to a beach. So a family with children that have lived with a German Shepherd before would be also suitable.
Can you open your home to a dear darling lady who is house trained, gentle and so wanting to go back to a loving home.
Rosie hasn't been tested with cats or pocket pets.
If you have recently owned a German Shepherd or large breed dog, and understand German Shepherd and think you have the energy to give me a new home, then please select the "Enquire about Rosie" and we will send you an application form or go to our website and complete the application form.

If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered, however you will need to be able to drive with your family to meet her. If for any reason she doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing her back to Sydney or helping us to rehome from your home.
Medical notes
Rosie is booked to be desexed next week.
Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
