Are you looking to add a loving companion to your home? Meet Opeth, a sweet and shy cattle dog cross who is waiting for his person!

Opeth's perfect match would be a single person with a female or non-dominant doggy companion. Opeth doesn't mind staying home while you work as long as he gets plenty of attention when you are home. He is house trained and has mastered using a doggy door during the day to let himself in and out. He loves nothing better than playing in the yard with a doggy friend all day, then cuddling on the sofa at night. He loves an early bedtime, and goes straight into his crate and sleeps all night without a fuss!

They don't make them much shyer than Opeth, and he is very scared of strangers. Once he bonds with you though he will reward your patience with the BEST cuddles! If you are willing to put the time into gaining his trust you'll be rewarded with a loyal companion who loves to play with his friends, loves toys, and is quite happy to entertain himself for the day. Once settled and feeling safe he is such a happy boy and those stumpy tail wags are just the best 💜 He is a puppy in a big boy body! 🐶

Currently Opeth is in foster care with a small male terrier, giant Bull Arab girl and a 4 month old foster brother he loves to play with.

To thrive, Opeth would love to have an active owner who can provide regular indoor and outdoor playtime, as well as plenty of love and attention. He'd also benefit from having at least one other calm and confident dog friend in the household, where he can feel safe and supported. As Opeth is incredibly shy and timid to begin with due to his challenging puppyhood he needs a patient and understanding person who will give him the time he needs to bring out his best 🙂
