About Lupe
Lupe is a one year old long coat German Shepherd who is now looking for a new home.
She is house trained and loves being with her family.
She has had some obedience training and walks well on a lead and is currently being trained by Bear the Dog Behaviourist. Being a young dog will need continuing training.
Lupe requires an experienced German Shepherd or large-dog breed owner who will place structure in her life and maintain boundaries to help her develop confidence in her new environment and human interactions.
Lupe has been around cats so may be suitable with careful introduction
If you understand the nature of a German Shepherd, and are looking for a companion dog then please consider Lupe. She will provide lots of love and companionship in abundance when she connects and builds that trust with her new owner.
If you live in Queensland or Victoria, you can be considered for adoption; however, you must be able to drive with your family to meet Lupe. If for any reason he doesn't fit your family you will be responsible for bringing him back to Sydney or helping us rehome him from your home.
To apply for Bear, please either click on the link "Enquire about Lupe" and we will send you an application form or go to our website and complete the application form.

Lupe will be desexed when a new home is found for her.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
