About Ruffle - Meet me @ Adoption Day!
Introducing Ruffle, a sweet and loving kitty who's ready to find a new family. Just like her name, Ruffle is an adorable bundle of joy, who loves to cuddle. She's affectionate in that she'll show her love with an endless stream of purrs and head-nudges.
Ruffle has a distinct preference for indoor living and would rather spend her time climbing a cat tree, playing with dangly toys, or resting in a sunny window spot. She absolutely adores cuddles and will find her way onto your lap or nestle down next to you, ready for petting or just a snooze.
She is social as well, and it's evident she needs a feline friend with her, so she'll be happiest in a home with another cat to keep her company. In fact, she has siblings named Stud and Buckle and she has learned how to socialise and play in a harmonious, fun manner. Spot Ruffle and her siblings together in the last photo!
Ruffle isn’t just looks and cuddles. She is also a smart cookie who is curious about the world around her. You'll catch her peering out the window, curious about the leaves blowing in the wind, or fascinated by a piece of string bobbing in front of her.
In all, Ruffle is a delight to be around and offers a rewarding companionship to her forever family. If you have some love and affection to spare and wouldn't mind another cute face in your home, Ruffle might be the perfect addition!
Ruffle will be attending our adoption day at the Strong Hearts Adoption Centre on Saturday 24 August. Ruffle along with many other cats will be in attendance from 10am until 3pm. Everyone is invited! Get down early so you don't miss out!

Adoption details
Regardless of the breed of animal you are looking to adopt, our adoption process is the same.
The first step of the process involves submitting an adoption application form. The form helps us understand a little bit more about you and your household and is used to figure out whether animal is the right fit for your household and what you are looking for, and also if your household is the right fit for the animal.
After a review process, shortlisted applicants will be contacted by one of our volunteer adoption coordinators usually by phone call or message. This is an informal conversation to discuss any questions we may have about the application and re-confirm any information provided. It is usually at at this point that we will organise a Meet & Greet with you and the animal.
It is a Strong Heart’s adoption policy to arrange a Meet & Greet with the prospective family and the animal before finalising the adoption. The Meet & Greet will allow the opportunity to visit the animal and have a pat and a play with them. The foster carer will tell you a bit about the animal's personality and what they have been like for the time they’ve been in their care. It is a great opportunity to ask the carer about the animals food, sleeping and any other health requirements.
If the Meet & Greet goes well on the day, in most cases you will be able to take the animal home straight away after payment of the adoption fee. All necessary paperwork including vet work history and transfer of ownership information will be sent via email within a few days unless otherwise specified.
