Even though Axel can be contented with his playful antics, he will appreciate an engaging daily routine with walks and training sessions.

Given Axel's history, he requires an understanding, patient, and caring guardian who's committed to gaining his trust and keeping his training consistent. Axel is not a reactive dog, but rather, he exhibits nervousness, hinting at an urgent need for a safe and secure environment. He's ready to pour his heart out to someone who would reciprocate the same level of love and reward him with the comfort, trust, confidence, and stability he's been eagerly waiting for.

Axel is partial to indulging in a good meal, particularly a well-prepared cheeseburger (hold the onions and pickles!). So, be prepared to share your picnics and barbeques with this guy! Crate trained, he finds serenity in his crate as a safe space to retreat.

Axel would thrive being the only pet in the household. He can be comfortable around dogs of a similar size, provided they're not too large or dominant. He is not suitable for a home with young children, but older teens or individuals in their twenties who are active and willing to include Axel in their daily lives would be ideal.
