About Beautiful boy mice
If you’re looking for some furry friends we have three small groups of compatible black male mice looking for their forever homes. They are currently in care with Liberty Foundation, a charity that specialises in rehoming animals from research facilities.
We rehome all our mice in naturalistic enclosures which measure 34cm high x 30cm deep x 116cm long. We bring the enclosure and all the equipment to your home and set it up, including hemp fibre bedding, hides, ropes, bottles, bowls and pellet food.
This system absorbs all moisture and (most) smells.Being boy mice there is some odour and they need to be in a well ventilated room like a sunroom or garage with windows, fans or air conditioning. They could also potentially be housed under a carport or outdoor structure where they are protected from predators and the elements.
The enclosure only requires a full clean every four weeks and spot cleaning in between. Note: the enclosure has a lid, we just removed it for the photo.
While they’re timid the mice will tolerate handling but would need a patient owner willing to spend time with them if they want them to become more tame.
We have two groups of four and one group of three. So, we are looking for three homes located in NSW or the ACT preferably.
If you’re interested in adopting these little guys, please complete our expression of interest form and we’ll get straight back to you:
https://www.libertyfoundation.org.au/apply/
The adoption fee is $150 which includes the mice and delivery and set up of their enclosure with all equipment and bedding.
Please note: our policy is that we don't rehome mice to homes with resident snakes or large lizards.
Adoption details
We ask people to complete an expression of interest form to obtain basic information about their interest in and suitability for adoption. We then follow up with phone calls and discuss their situation and what kind of home set up they have for adopting specific animals. If they are suitable to adopt, we then arrange a time to deliver the animal/s to their premises and they sign a comprehensive adoption agreement form.
