About Decagon - Meet me at Petstock this weekend!
Meet Decagon, a cat with a
personality that certainly lives up to his unique name. He's the main character of his own story, exuding love, affection, and confidence in a way that makes him positively irresistible!
Decagon is a playful spirit who loves to entertain and engage. He has an innate ability to bring a smile to your face with his goofy antics. Whether it's teasing a string or flipping a soft toy into the air, he knows how to turn an ordinary moment into a memorable one.
This loving boy is also a firm believer in the power of companionship. He needs a feline friend to share his escapades with and learn from. He thrives in an environment where care, play, and exploration are shared experiences, helping him adjust quickly, build confidence, and become comfortable in new surroundings.
While Decagon has a playful side, he is ideally an indoor cat who respects the safety of his home boundaries. He knows his way around, whether it's exploring a nook, finding the perfect sunny spot, or snuggling next to his favourite people on the couch. Don't be surprised if you find him curled up on your lap when you're watching Tv or reading a book – he's a master at seizing the opportunity for a cozy, quiet moment.

Decagon will be attending Petstock's National Adoption Weekend! Decagon will be attending Petstock Prahran on Saturday 16th and also Petstock Chadstone on Sunday 17th if they aren't adopted the day prior.
Decagon along with many other cats will be in attendance from 10am until 3pm.
Everyone is invited! Get down early so you don't miss out!

Adoption details
Regardless of the breed of animal you are looking to adopt, our adoption process is the same.
The first step of the process involves submitting an adoption application form. The form helps us understand a little bit more about you and your household and is used to figure out whether animal is the right fit for your household and what you are looking for, and also if your household is the right fit for the animal.
After a review process, shortlisted applicants will be contacted by one of our volunteer adoption coordinators usually by phone call or message. This is an informal conversation to discuss any questions we may have about the application and re-confirm any information provided. It is usually at at this point that we will organise a Meet & Greet with you and the animal.
It is a Strong Heart’s adoption policy to arrange a Meet & Greet with the prospective family and the animal before finalising the adoption. The Meet & Greet will allow the opportunity to visit the animal and have a pat and a play with them. The foster carer will tell you a bit about the animal's personality and what they have been like for the time they’ve been in their care. It is a great opportunity to ask the carer about the animals food, sleeping and any other health requirements.
If the Meet & Greet goes well on the day, in most cases you will be able to take the animal home straight away after payment of the adoption fee. All necessary paperwork including vet work history and transfer of ownership information will be sent via email within a few days unless otherwise specified.
