WOW! Rescue furries take over Woolies
We LOVE helping rescue pets secure every opportunity to be known and loved...and hopefully adopted! That’s why we were thrilled to organise not one but TWO epic rescue events at Woolworths HQ earlier this year, in conjunction with our partner Everyday Pet Insurance from Woolworths.
Eight amazing NSW rescue groups brought along their bestest doggos, cutest cats, and biggest smiles to promote their individual rescue organisations and their pets in the Woolworths Bella Vista and Mascot offices with over 4,000 employees.
“Everyday Insurance was great in providing the opportunity. Any chance to have our rescue animals seen by that amount of staff is a brilliant opportunity,” said Ben Caple from DCH Animal Adoptions.
The rescue pets received a generous supply of cuddles and belly scratches from the Woolworths family and brought smiles to so many faces during their stay.
Keith the greyhound from Greyhound Rescue
Attending groups received a donation from Everday Insurance, loads of interest for their rescue pets, multiple adoption applications, and a whole lot of love for their furries from the Woolworths Group.
“We certainly do get an increase of applications for adopting, fostering and volunteering after these events. We love spreading the word!” said Lauren Jumikis from Greyhound Rescue.
Kittens from Community Cat Carers
The rescue groups that participated in this event include POUND Rescue, Greyhound Rescue, DCH Animal Adoptions, AMRAA, Rosehill Community Cats, Sydney Fox and Dingo Rescue, Community Cat Carers Inc and WLPA Gladesville.
Adoption events are a wonderful platform to build awareness around rescue and adoption, broaden support networks, and showcase the incredible work undertaken by rescue organisations - not to mention help rescue pets connect with loving new homes!
