We want to ensure every owned pet stays safe, healthy, happy and out of the pound system, which is why we offer our pet owner support services for FREE. Pet owners reach out to PetRescue for help and advice every day and, thanks to your kind support, we continue to be there for them.
Community outreach and crisis support
Helping pet owners in their time of need
PetRescue works to help pet owners in crisis find support and safe short-term accommodation for their pets. We assist people who are hospitalised, homeless or experiencing financial hardship and victims of domestic violence by connecting them with organisations who offer outreach and crisis support services in their community.
We receive email requests for help via our online helpdesk (firstname.lastname@example.org) and we’re working to develop relationships with more of these vital services so that more Australians have a better alternative to surrendering their pets.
Pet owners’ helpdesk
Free help and advice for pet owners and their pets
PetRescue’s Pet Owners’ Helpdesk - email@example.com - operates seven days a week, responding to email enquiries from pet owners seeking advice on topics such as behavioural issues, desexing and rehoming.
Pet owners’ resources
Online help articles for pet owners
We’re continually updating and growing our online library of free resources and help articles to assist pet owners in caring for their pets. Topics include enrichment tips, how introduce your pet to a new pet, and what to do if you need to rehome your pet.
