PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE CAREFULLY AS THEY CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS. THESE TERMS OF SERVICE APPLY IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER TERMS, CODES OR POLICIES APPLICABLE TO YOU, AND MAY ALSO OVERRIDE THEM.
Only designated Group Administrators and Group Members who are authorised to use your PetRescue account will be authorised to use the Adopt Today payment system. No other person may be permitted to.
You are responsible for ensuring all adopters that make their Adopt Today payments over the phone have read and agreed to the Adopt Today terms and conditions, as well as the adoption terms and conditions set out by your organisation - both of which should be visible on the Adopt Today form.
All pet listings using the Adopt Today system must meet PetRescue's Code of Ethics and include an accurate description of the pet, in accordance with our usual terms.
This includes that all pets must have completed the holding period, must be vet checked, out of quarantine, desexed (depending on age of pet), vaccinated and microchipped prior to making the adoption transaction.
You must ensure the pet’s microchip is registered to the new owners immediately after the trial period.
You must make sure that you have disclosed all known medical and behavioural conditions to the adopter prior to processing the adoption transaction.
Adopters must see the pet in person before making the Adopt Today payment to adopt, unless the adoption is interstate.
All Adopt Today payments must be made by valid credit card (or debit card with credit option) using the Adopt Today system without any variation. No debit cards, bank transfers, cheques, money orders or cash will be accepted as payment.
The adopter may return the pet to you at any point during the usual adoption trial period (14 to 30 days) and request a full refund of the Adopt Today adoption fee (excluding any transaction or processing fee).
Once an Adopt Today payment is made and confirmed by the card issuing bank, the processing and payment of any adoption fee refunds is the sole responsibility of you as the rescue group. PetRescue does not offer refunds for the transaction fees incurred and any refund of this by you, the rescue group, is at your discretion.
Requests for the refund of donations to PetRescue must be sent to email@example.com within two weeks of the tax invoice issue date. PetRescue will be responsible for processing any agreed refund.
PetRescue reserves the right to immediately suspend your Adopt Today account if you do not adhere to the above terms and conditions of Adopt Today.
