Paws and Claws is a small cat adoption program sponsored by Flinders View Vet Surgery. FVVS opened to the public about 6 years ago. The adoption program is run by our nurses, and our nurses are also the primary foster carers. We are qualified vn's, fear free certified, and all have fostering and rescue experience. All rescue animals are vaccinated, wormed and flea'd before going to their home. They are required to return to the surgery at 6 months of age for desexing (cost included in the adoption price) or if old enough, will be desexed before rehoming.
The surgery can be contacted to arrange a time to meet the kitten - upon meeting, if the prospective adopter would like to apply, they can complete and submit an adoption application. If the applicant is successful, there is a 48 hour 'cooling off' period before the kitten can be taken home. We do require our cats to be indoors only.
