Stevie's Rescue began with 7 kittens in early 2017.
These 7 kittens came from 2 litters, with two very different stories.
The first litter were 5 feral kittens who, with lots of love and care, became loving companions in 5 very happy forever homes.
The second litter had a rough start to life with a background of neglect and poor health.
These two brothers came to us by chance, and though the first one took no time at all to become a healthy, adoptable kitten, the second had ongoing health problems that required more constant, careful treatment.
He had been so neglected that his once easily treated health problems became bad enough that we were unsure he would see the next day.
Throughout his many vet visits, medical treatments, and various smells, he was determined to survive. He took a long time to recover, and in that time he had made such an impression on us that we had no choice but to keep him around. Since that day he has not left our sides (or backs, or chests, or necks, or anywhere he will fit for a snuggle)
This kitten's name is Stevie, and his story is the beginning of Stevie's Rescue.
When adopting through Stevie's Rescue, an adoption meeting is set up for potential applicants to meet the kittens currently available. An application form is then emailed to the applicant for them to send back, and Stevie's Rescue will determine if they are a suitable match for their chosen kitten. If successful the applicant will be invited back to Stevie's Rescue to pick up their new furry family member.
